Village Information

Willingham is one of the larger of the North Villages and has a great number of facilities which also supports the surrounding smaller villages. The village is located approximately 12 miles northwest of Cambridge and in 2007 had a population of approximately 3,900 people.

However, this number will have been greatly increased over the last few years from demand of people moving to the area attracted to new housing developments throughout the village.

Transport links include the A14, the guided busway and also the Great Ouse river which is less than 2 miles away from the village and forms part of an extensive river network of almost 200 miles. In addittion there are several bus service links in the village including bus routes to both Cambridge and St Ives.

Facilities include a post office, two village stores, bakery, library, several public houses and an auction house as well as a range of small business. There is a primary school in the village and the secondary school catchment falls under Cottenham Village College.
