The village of Herringswell is around 10 minutes from the historic horse racing town of Newmarket and just over 20 minutes away from market town of Bury St Edmunds. The university city of Cambridge is approximately 30 minutes away.

For commuters the village of Kennett (2 miles) away has a railway station and there is a branch line connection from Newmarket to Cambridge and Ipswich. Cambridge and Whittlesford Parkway offer direct rail lines into London, with Cambridge North Station and the fastest trains taking under one hour. Stansted Internal Airport is approximately 40 minutes away. 

Village Information

Herringswell is a small rural, no through village with a church and village hall on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk boarder. Close by is the Royal Worlington Golf Club and in the village of Chippenham (around 4 miles) is Chippenham Park and the favoured La Hogue Farm Shop and cafe.

Facilities

The market town of Mildenhall is just a few miles away and has a supermarket, many shops/restaurants, petrol stations and the leisure centre with swimming pool. The nearby towns of Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds provide a good range of amenities including schools, shops, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and leisure facilities, including health clubs, a swimming pool and golf club. Newmarket is renowned globally for thoroughbred horses and boasts two separate racetracks with quality horses competing throughout the season.
