Location

Great & Little Gransden are small villages located about eleven miles (17.7 kilometres) from central Cambridge. Transport links are particularly wide-ranging as you can easily access the train stations at St Neots, Sandy, Huntingdon and central Cambridge, all of which have main lines into London Kings Cross. In addition, there is convenient access to the A428, A1 and the M11 motorway. 

Village Information

Well known for its quaint period properties along its quiet village roads, the Gransden's are pretty villages with an abundance of appeal. There is a primary school which has an outstanding Ofsted rating and the villages falls with the secondary school catchment of Cambourne Village College, also rated outstanding by Ofsted, meaning schools are a big draw for people moving to the area.

The Crown & Cushion is a traditional country pub in Great Gransden the dates back to the 1500s, has a wide selection of wines, spirits and beers available and is well known for it's live music events, and quizzes.

Facilities

There is a village shop which houses the post office, recreation ground and bowling green, tennis courts, football pitches and a sports pavilion.

Little Gransden neighbours Great Gransden and has The Chequers pub, well known for their popular beer festival, that has been in the same family’s ownership for over sixty years. They have their own brewhouse and sell their produce within the pub, along with a range of food and real ales, including fish and chips that are highly rated in their reviews.

The village has a small airfield which annually hosts the Little Gransden Air & Car Show, with air displays, vintage cars, a funfair, food, drink and stalls, with proceeds going to the Children In Need Charity.
