Location

Milton is a well-served village, located approximately 5 miles (8.05 kilometres) north of Cambridge and 12.5 miles (20.12 kilometres) from Ely. The village benefits from excellent access to the A14, M11 and A10. There is a regulae bus service with a Park and Ride into central Cambridge and designated cycle routes and Cambridge North station is just under 2 miles (3.22 kilometres) away.

Village Information

Milton is close to Cambridge Science Park and Cambridge Business Park and also has its own country park which is overseen by the Cambridge Sports Lake Trust. The park has attractive pathways, cycle routes, playgrounds, lakes and has a café in its central visitor area.

Milton has its own primary school and falls within the catchment area for two local secondary schools, Cottenham Village College and Impington Village College with transport provided to both.

Facilities

Local amenities include a large supermarket with car wash and petrol station, doctor’s surgery, vets, florist, gymnastics club, takeaway, newsagent, hairdressers and a barber shop.

Milton has four pubs namely The White Horse, The Waggon & Horses, The Lion & Lamb, and The Brewers Inn.  On the northern edge of the village is the Maise Maze, a popular family attraction with a large maze and giant slide, go-karts, tractor & trailer Rides and a farm trail.

There are two churches in the village, All Saints and The Apostolic Church, and a community centre which holds regular events for all ages located on the recreation ground. The recreation ground itself features a bowls green, tennis courts, football and five-a-side football pitches.
