Location

Trumpington is located within 3 miles (4.83 kilometres) of both the city centre and Cambridge and Great Shelford railway stations, 2 miles (3.22 kilometres) from the M11 and a short walk to the Park & Ride, Trumpington is an area well located for commuters.

Area information

With the development of Trumpington Meadows the village has been improved further with a number of facilities and services and is a good location for families due to the many open spaces and play areas there. In addition to Glebe Farm and Clay Farm there is the King George V playing fields on Aberdeen Square, Byron’s Pool and the nature reserve.

There are three primary schools namely Trumpington Park Primary School, Trumpington Meadows Primary School and Fawcett Primary School on Alpha Road. The secondary school is Trumpington Community College on Lime Avenue.

Facilities

The High Street has a range of shops, pubs and cafés including the Green Man pub, Sole & Duck and the Duchess of Cambridge. Anstey way has a small parade of shops including a fish and chip shop, a cycle shop, florist, deli and bun shop.

There is a doctor’s surgery on Beverley Way and the local dentist on Bishops Road in addition to a recently built Sainsbury’s Local on Kestrel Rise and Waitrose on Hauxton Road.
