In the centre of the village is a large village green and recreation ground with a recently refitted children’s park, a tennis court, and football and cricket pitches.  The recreation ground is used by Whittlesford Cricket Club and youth football club the Whittlesford Warriors.

Village attractions include The Old School Studio which hosts a broad range of arts & crafts workshops, and Provenance a restaurant and café/deli with a venue to hire for weddings and corporate events.

The William Westley primary school in the village has attained a 'Good' rating by Ofsted and the secondary school catchment is Sawston Village College, also rated 'Good'.

Facilities

Whittlesford provides some great amenities with a hotel/restaurant, village stores/post office, a health centre, vets, dentist, church, and the Orchard Pond Bed & Breakfast.

The village also has two public houses which are both grade II listed - The Tickell Arms has a separate dining area and a great pub garden with verandah and impressive pond.  The Bees In The Wall is an atmospheric pub with a long split-level lounge opening onto a patio and large paddock garden.
