Cowlinge is a pleasant village less than 10 miles from the historic horse racing town of Newmarket and 15 miles from the market town of Bury St Edmunds. The university city of Cambridge is approximately 20 miles away and there is good access to the A14 which interconnects to the M11 motorway to London and the A11 to the east.
For commuters, train stations in Dullingham and Newmarket take you into Cambridge, with Cambridge North Station and the fastest trains taking under one hour into London. Stansted International Airport is approximately 50 minutes away.
The oldest building in the village is the mediaeval Church of St. Margaret of Antioch which was built approximately 650 years ago. There is a village hall and The Three Ways Country pub and restaurant, a small country freehouse dating back to 1643 with original wooden beams and inglenook fireplaces.
