Location

Set in beautiful countryside just 5 miles from the historic horse racing town of Newmarket and 13 miles from the market town of Bury St Edmunds. There is good access to the A14 which interconnects to the M11 motorway to London and the A11 to the east. The university city of Cambridge is around 20 miles away.

For commuters there is a branch line connection from Newmarket to Cambridge and Ipswich. Cambridge and Whittlesford Parkway offer direct rail lines into London, with Cambridge North Station and the fastest trains taking under one hour. Stansted International Airport is approximately 40 minutes away.

Village Information

Kirtling and Upend are surrounded by attractive rolling countryside and mixed woodland with several footpaths and bridleways giving access. The villages contain many historic buildings and is home to Kirtling Tower, the remains of a medieval castle and Tudor country estate which is surrounded by a moat, formal gardens and parkland.
