Location

Ousden is a picturesque village between the historic horse racing town of Newmarket (7 miles away) and the market town of Burry St Edmunds (9 miles away). The university city of Cambridge is just over 20 miles away.

For commuters there are train stations at Dullingham and Newmarket to Cambridge and Ipswich. Cambridge and Whittlesford Parkway offer direct rail lines into London, with Cambridge North Station and the fastest trains taking under one hour. Stansted International Airport is approximately 50 minutes away. 

Village Information

Ousden is a small village on top of a hill, surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside with plenty of delightful walks. The village church is called St Peter's Church and there is also a small chapel called St Barnabas.

There is a village public house (Fox Inn), village hall, excellent playpark and playing field and fine church. 

The nearby towns of Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds provide a good range of amenities including schools, shops, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and leisure facilities including health clubs, a swimming pool and golf club. Newmarket is renowned globally for thoroughbred horses and boasts two separate racetracks with quality horses competing throughout the season.
