Fen Ditton is a village on the north-east edge of Cambridge and can trace it's past back to at least the later Stone Age. It is located close to the A14 and Cambridge North train station which is ideal for commuter and has a number of rural pathways giving cycling and pedestrian access into Cambridge.

Fen Ditton is home to St Mary The Virgin Church and on Ditton Lane there is the Roman Catholic Church of St. Vincent de Paule. 

There is a recreation ground located on Church Street, a pavilion, a cricket pitch, several football pitches, a basketball court and a children's play area, in addition to plenty of grasslands which are used for annual firework displays. The village also hosts the annual Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival.
