Duxford is a village formed on the banks of the River Cam about 10 miles (16.09 kilometres) south of Cambridge. It is part of the Hundred Parishes area, which is an area of the East of England with no formal recognition or status, although the concept has the blessing of county and district authorities.
Duxford offers the historical Imperial War Museum which was also the base of RAF Duxford now also known as the Duxford Aerodrome. RAF Duxford was a former Royal Air Force airfield that was used as a sector station during the Battle of Britain.
This scenic village has two pubs and the village holds an annual Christmas market at the St. Johns Church with profits that go towards improving the village
