Location

Sutton is a village lying around 12 miles (19.31 kilometres) north of Cambridge and 6 miles (9.66 kilometres) west of Ely, just off the A142.

Village Information

The village is well-connected with the A10 being just 6 miles (9.66 kilometres) away providing access into Cambridge or the A14 and Ely railway station providing a route into Cambridge or Liverpool Street.  There is also a bus service into Ely, Cambridge and Chatteris. 

Sutton has a village hall, The Brooklands Centre, with adjacent playing fields, bowls green and sports pavilion. Local sports clubs include Sutton Cricket Club, an archery club, bowls Club and a youth football club, the Sutton Rangers.

There is a Church of England Primary school, a pre-school and secondary schooling is provided by Witchford Village College located around 4 miles (6.44 kilometres) away. 

Facilities

Local amenities include a convenience shop, a pharmacy, a hairdresser, a barber, a doctors' surgery, garage and motor repair centre, a delicatessen and St Andrews church. 

Sutton has one public house - The Chequers which offers food and has a pleasant pub garden, an Indian restaurant and a Chinese takeaway.
