Needingworth is a small village just west of the Prime Meridian, in the civil parish of Holywell-cum-Needingworth, situated within Huntingdonshire.
The village enjoys the benefit of being able to offer simple ‘village life’ and has a busy marina on the River Great Ouse, but also has the convenience of being just a five minute car journey away from the bustling market town of St. Ives. As well as many shops and a weekly market, the guided busway in St.Ives runs up to every 7 minutes into Cambridge and 15 minutes into Huntingdon.
Needingworth also has an award-winning wetland RSPB nature reserve with plenty of wildlife, grasses and wildflowers with many places to sit and have a picnic.
The village hall has regular clubs such as keep fit, Brownies, Guides, Yoga and an art class to name a few. There is a pre-school, a baptist church, playing fields, village shop with post office, bakery, boat hire business and RSPB Ouse Fen Reserve. For something to eat and drink there is the Queens Head on the High Street and the Pike and Eel Hotel at the bottom of Overcote Lane. Other facilities include a tennis club, football club and primary school.
