Location

Great Eversden is a small village that lies about six miles south-west of Cambridge city. The village has approximately 85 houses with about 241 residents. The prime meridian runs through the village separating it from Little Eversden.

Village Information

Little Eversden consists of two main roads, Harlton Road which runs through the middle of the village and joins the A603, and the High Street. There are about 600 residents in the village, so substantially more populated than Great Eversden and has doctors surgery serving the local community and surrounding villages. The sports field and pavilion are a focal point for the villagers.

Facilities

The village has an Indian restaurant, Cam Spice which was initially The Hoop's pub which was opened in 1851. Situated at the north end of the village is The Fox public house which has been there since the beginning of the 19th century. The village church, St. Mary’s, was built in 1470 after the previous church was struck by lightning in the mid-15th century.

The nearest primary school is in Comberton which is a feeder school to Comberton Village College.
